Joby make a range of flexible tripods that we think are perfect for sailing and travel vloggers. The Joby GorillaPod 1K is our go-to tripod on the boat! We use it as a standard tripod, to secure the camera to unusual surfaces and as a selfie stick when vlogging.

We've owned a total of 3 different GorillaPod camera tripods.

• GorillaPod 500 for our smaller cameras (Up to 500g)

• GorillaPod 1K (Up to 1kg)

• GorillaPod 3K for our larger cameras (Up to 3kg)​

Of those we'd recommend either the GorillaPod 1K or GorillaPod3K. The GorillaPod 500 is a good design but we'd only use it for light action cameras.
