The short blade is wide, allowing for maximum thrust while also allowing for a lot of maneuverability. It's a design that's been used by military, coast guard and safety divers around the world for decades, and is useful to have aboard the yacht.

We wear them with a thin scuba sock, and they're quite comfortable for use over extended periods of time. Thanks to the compact size and heavy duty construction, they're also easy to store when we're not in the water.
